Sandhole (Sandhol) comprised of a group of beautiful villages situated on the left bank of river Beas, in the district Mandi of Himachal Pradesh.
Sandhole is Tehsil of the Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. Earlier it was a sub tehsil of the Sarkhaghat tehsil and Dharampur development block. It was officially upgraded to tehsil on 30 June 2011 by then Chief Minister of State, Professor Prem Kumar Dhumal.
Sandhole touches the Kangra district which is on the right bank of river Beas and Hamirpur district which is on the left bank of Bakkar Khad a tributary of Beas. There is well known local proverb on this tributary " Bakkar khad sbhi khaddan di rani, Heonda dhup na teondi pani, Barsati kihan jind bacbani."
How to reach
Once upon known as kala-paani of Himachal Pradesh due to non availability of any links during rainy season, now is well connected to nearest district headquaters (Mandi, Hamirpur, kangra) by road. All these places are well connected to rest of country. Currently this village is linked by road only though you can also use other mode but only to certain extend.

Kangra-Palampur-Sujanpur-Jangleberry-Sandhole . A new bridge is being constructed at river beas at Badaur Shahar which will shorten this distance and provide an alternative route via Kangra-Palampur-Alampur-Jaisinghpur-Harsipatan-Sandhole
The nearest railway station is Palampur which is 60 Km from Sandhole. This station is on Pathankot-Joginder Nagar narrow gauge track.
Una is another railway station about 130 Km towards Chandigarh on Delhi-Chandigarh-Una broad gauge track.
The nearest airport is Kangra Airport (Gaggal in Kangra Distt) which is 80 km from Sandhole. Flights are available to and from Delhi , Pathankot.
Bhuntar (in Kullu distt) is another nearby airport. Flights are available to and from Delhi, Chandigarh and Shimla.
